Duties would include but not be limited to the following:

• Corporate, personal, and trust tax returns and all related planning
• Client management and correspondence
• Preparation of assurance and non-assurance engagements
• Government audits and reviews
• Business consulting
• Guidance and training to junior accountants
• Assist team members on larger projects as requested

A list of knowledge and skills we require are the following:

• Critical thinking, attention to detail with ability to identify issues and provide solutions
• Enthusiastic and self-motivated, inherent drive to see results and meet deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills with both clients and team members
• Accounting designation or nearing completion of CPA program and 2+ years of recent public practice experience
• Experience with personal and corporate tax planning, business consulting, compilation and review engagements, and sales and excise taxes
• Experience using Caseware, Sage 50, and QuickBooks, Jazzit, TaxPrep and CCH iFirm is an asset
• Experience with technical tax matters an asset

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
• Strong deadline management skills
• Experience using Caseware, Sage 50, and QuickBooks. Experience with Jazzit, TaxPrep and CCH iFirm is an asset
